France is advancing toward a fully digital and compliant invoicing ecosystem. Here are the key milestones to stay ahead of.
January 2020
France announces its national e-invoicing and e-reporting reform.
2021
Initial rollout planned.
2024
PDP registration and accreditation process begins with the DGFiP.
2025
Pilot program, interoperability testing, and production testing begin.
September 2026
Large Enterprises (LEs) and Medium-sized Enterprises (ETIs) must issue domestic B2B electronic invoices; Mandatory B2C and cross-border e-reporting begins.
September 2027
SMEs and micro-enterprises must begin issuing domestic B2B electronic invoices; Full nationwide rollout is complete.
