Mandatory B2B e-invoicing

January 2016

The Swiss federal administration begins introducing mandatory electronic invoicing for federal suppliers.

E-reporting rollout

January 2018

E-invoicing becomes mandatory for suppliers issuing invoices above a specified threshold to the Swiss federal government.

Royal Decree published

January 2020

Mandatory e-invoicing extended to all suppliers invoicing the Swiss federal administration.

This mandate currently affects e-invoicing, not e-reporting.
